The Centerline by Hobart EDGE14-11 slicer’s chrome-plated carbon steel knife is operated with a single-speed, 1⁄2-horsepower motor and measures 14 inches in diameter to create precise, consistent cuts. To provide long-term strength and corrosion resistance, the base is constructed of anodized aluminum. When the unit’s blade becomes dull, it can be sharpened on the top-mounted ceramic sharpener. The carriage system and sharpener can be removed after use and sanitized to reduce the risk of cross contamination. Designed for countertop placement, this unit measures 261⁄2 inches wide by 23 inches deep by 221⁄2 inches high.
Intended to support medium-duty applications, the Centerline by Hobart EDGE14-11 commercial slicer operates manually for improved operator control over breads, cheeses, meats, and vegetables. To enable adjustments for various menu items, its precision system can produce tissue-thin slices all the way to 9⁄16-inch-thick cuts. This mechanism can slice both soft and hard products, and its carriage can hold product measuring 81⁄2 inches in diameter or 11 inches wide by 81⁄2 inches high. To reduce the amount of mechanical pressure necessary during insertion, its product table is angled at 45 degrees.
